In an attempt to improve my sewing skills beyond sewing two straight lines together, I played with some zips I had knocking around. The result was a small bag that can be used to store bits n bobs in one place. Some more lovely Liberty fabric makes them feel super soft!

Cara has finally arrived...
.... only 10 days late but well worth it! To celebrate I made her some booties and a bag for her bits and a small mouse to watch over her!
The pink floral fabric is a Liberty print and the girl on the swing fabric is from the Sherbert Pips range.

Bibtastic
I've now added bibs to the menu of baby products I make. This is gift for a new baby boy for my friend Heba. It should brighten up meal times whilst keeping baby clean!

Baby Booties for Louis
I made these baby booties using another of the Amy Butler's patterns from 'Little Stitches' (see post about Sarah's bag for the link!) to give to baby Louis - now just 4 weeks old!
I loved making these so much I have few more pairs ready for babies just waiting to be popped over the next couple of months! A sneaky peek...
I used material from a much loved shirt that no longer fits me. The fabric is so soft it'll be perfect for Louis little feet!

Lovely Liberty Quilt for my lovely Mum!
Lovely Liberty Quilt, a set on Flickr.
Its Mum's special birthday and my gift to her is this quilt made from a dozen different Liberty prints. Its taken 18 months to collect, assemble and finish. Most of the fabrics are from my favourite local fabric shop Fabrics Galore in Lavender Hill.

Keeping Sarah's Stuff Sorted Bag!
I finally finished and sent off the everything-you-need-for-a-new baby bag for Sarah and with only a couple of weeks until Baby Thomas is due it was done just in time!
I used a couple of patterns from Amy Butler's 'Little Stitches' Book (Everything Bag and Changing Mat). The exterior fabric is also from Amy Butler's Soul Blossom's range.
I added a couple of small essential, emergency items - including the cute monkey rattle - to get her started ready for motherhood second-time round!

Quick Ironing Board Recovery!
Quilts and other projects are still ongoing but in the meantime I saved a rather sad ironing board with a new cover - a big improvement!
